ISSH's tremendous growth and development in terms of student numbers, programme offerings and also facilities has increased the diversity in the school. The discussion about the binding factors in the school triggered a strategy process to define the core values of ISSH. The result is a set of values that unify all sections of the school community. different cultural, national, linguistic or professional backgrounds and helps

"Shaping the Programmes" is the theme of this newsletter. After the introduction of the DP we are now gaining a clearer view of the end goal for our students. With these goals in sight we are able to fine tune our programmes from the beginning of PYP through MYP to DP in order to maximize the academic success of our students. It is only 2 years since ISSH moved to the Logierhaus, but we are running out of space already. In spring 2011 ISSH invited 3 architects to develop a design for a new secondary school. The month of May is as always a very busy time. Our grade 5 students are preparing for their exhibition – an independent study which the students carry out
independently. They have chosen the overall theme of ‘We take Action because of our Beliefs’ and their exhibition will illustrate what the students have undertaken in

Lifelong learning
ISSH is a school and schools are all about learning – this is at the core of our community. It goes without saying that our students are learning new
things every day. This happens through teaching, through carefully designed lessons, supported by resources like books, films, internet, experts coming in, hands-on experiments or concrete material. Download >>
