Community Moments, October 2025: Find out the latest news, from dances to cubism

A Busy and Exciting Start to the Season!

Safety Day in Primary

Primary students spent the day practising their biking skills with the support of the local police, learning road safety in a hands-on way. They also developed first aid skills with Dr Lui (Healthy & Safe), gaining knowledge that could help them and others in real-life situations. Staff members took the opportunity to update their First Aid training, ensuring our community remains a safe place for everyone.

Autumn Dance in Secondary

The Secondary Student Council kicked off the year with their first school dance, complete with nachos, music, and karaoke. Students celebrated together, showing off their dance moves, singing along to favourite songs, and enjoying a lively, social evening.

ELC Joins Secondary for Science and Art Fun

The ELC had an exciting time with Secondary teachers, exploring Science and Art. In Science, they discovered static electricity, watched flying tea bags demonstrate convection, explored “falling rivers of ice,” and even launched ethanol rockets. Afterwards, they turned to Art, learning about cubism and creating their own cubist-inspired masterpieces.

Clean Up Day

Secondary students took part in World Clean-Up Day, joining millions of people around the globe in the effort to reduce litter and protect our planet. They helped to clear the school grounds and the local area, taking responsibility for their environment and working together for a cleaner, greener community.

Residential Trips for Secondary Students

Exciting trips are underway across the secondary school. Grades 6 and 7 are participating in outdoor team-building activities in Zermatt and Tzoumaz, developing collaboration, resilience, and confidence through adventure and challenges. Meanwhile, Grades 8, 9, and 10 are on city cultural trips to Geneva, Milan, and Paris, exploring history, art, and local traditions while broadening their knowledge of the world.

From practical skills and environmental responsibility to teamwork, cultural exploration, and school spirit, our students are enjoying a fantastic, action-packed start to the season!
