Celebrating the Class of 2025: A Milestone Marked with Purpose and Pride
Last Friday, we had the honour of celebrating the graduation of the Class of 2025, a truly remarkable group of students whose journey has left a lasting mark on the International School of Schaffhausen.
This year’s ceremony took place at the beautiful Pavillon im Park, an elegant venue for such an important milestone. The event had added significance as it coincided with ISSH’s 25th anniversary; a year in which we celebrated our history and looked to the future. In many ways, the Class of 2025 reflects this: they are rooted in our values and ready to step forward with purpose.
Our graduates come from around the world, bringing with them a rich mix of cultural backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences. Some grew up within the ISSH community, while others, including several of our boarding students, joined us more recently and quickly became an integral part of school life. Whether they were here for many years or just a few, each student has contributed to a cohort defined by curiosity, determination, kindness, and a strong sense of connection.
The ceremony was filled with heartfelt moments, one of which came from our alumna keynote speaker, whose message deeply resonated with the audience. She encouraged the graduates to embrace setbacks as opportunities to learn, to set personal goals beyond external expectations, and to embrace life with both courage and humility. Her reflections served as a powerful reminder that success isn’t always straightforward and that the most meaningful outcomes can sometimes be found on paths we had not originally planned.
Our graduates were reminded to be proud of what they have accomplished, especially after navigating a rigorous academic programme with resilience and grace.
While achievements matter, it is the friendships formed along the way that leave the deepest imprint. The quiet moments of encouragement, the shared laughter, the late-night study sessions and the celebrations are the threads that bind their memories together and shape who they are becoming. After all, a strong circle of friends not only makes life richer, but also helps us to become our best selves.
The Class of 2025, is leaving ISSH not just with a diploma, but with the experiences that have shaped them, the values that will guide them, and the knowledge that they will always have the support of our community. Whether they go on to study at universities in Switzerland or abroad, take a gap year, or undertake national service in the Swiss army, we know they will do so with purpose, confidence and passion.
This moment is also a celebration of the unwavering support that our students have received, particularly from their parents and families, who have walked alongside them on this journey. Their trust, encouragement and partnership have been invaluable over the years. We are truly grateful for their care and commitment, and honoured to have shared this path with them.
As we continue to celebrate our 25th anniversary as a school, this cohort serves as a reminder of what ISSH stands for: curiosity, compassion and the courage to shape the future.
Congratulations, Class of 2025! The world is waiting, and you are ready.
