Unique to ISSH, our boarding programme allows students ages 14-19, the chance to experience the benefits of an International School community while also learning to thrive in a quintessential European city of Schaffhausen. 

 

Our newly renovated boarding houses are located centrally in Schaffhausen and a 10 minute drive from campus.  Each house offers co-ed living under the care of trained and experienced boarding staff. Single gendered living on each floor separated by the common room and adult’s room, the students enjoy life away from home that includes cooking, studying, socializing and exploring the area with their friends.  

 

We feel the best way to teach the life-long skills of time management, responsibility, accountability, resiliency and empathy is to allow them the space and support to take on the challenges.  Schaffhausen is the ideal environment for developing and sharpening these skills because we give them space beyond the school walls to do so.  The student’s drive, coupled with our support has fostered mature, resilient graduates that are ready for their next chapter in life.
