My Schaffhausen by Elena

Summer vacations are coming soon – what are you looking forward to the most?
I am most looking forward to our vacations in Austria, to going to the «Badis» and to the «Englische Sommerwoche» at the International School.

What is your favorite «Badi » ?
The Reiatbadi in Hofen, the KSS on the Breite and the Thayngerbadi.

What are you looking forward to the most during the «Englische Sommerwoche»?
I have been to the «Englische Ferienwoche» several times and the leaders were always very nice. The thing I look forward to the most is the sports stuff in the gym hall.

What three things have you liked the most so far in the «Englische Ferienwoche»?
We had a workshop with the freestyle soccer world champion and a parkours workshop, everyone thought that was very cool. Then I liked all the handicrafts and painting things in the Art Room, there are really nice pictures of the ISSH students on the walls and the third thing I liked was the scavenger hunt, because it was very exciting, I learned a lot of English and we really wanted to win against the other groups.

What do you like to do in your free time? What hobbies can you recommend to other kids in the Schaffhausen area, no matter what time of year it is?
I like to go climbing in the Aranea. Then I go to a running group and I play soccer. I love to ski, but that’s not really possible in Schaffhausen, unless there’s a lot of snow and then there’s a small ski lift in Opfertshofen. And if there’s not enough snow for skiing, then I think bobsledding with friends is great. But now I’m looking forward to all the swimming pools and the Weidling on the Rhine.
