Talking about ISSH

At our recent Marketing Information Session, which took place both in person last Friday and online this Monday, we were heartened by the enthusiastic turnout from parents and stakeholders. Your active participation and support for ISSH during these sessions has been extremely motivating for us and we are grateful for the valuable time you have dedicated to engaging with our school community and deepening your understanding of what ISSH stands for.

The responses we received when we asked you to sum up ISSH in your own words were both affirming and deeply reflective of the school ethos we strive to cultivate. Descriptions such as “a happy place”, “an educational garden where talents are nurtured” and the feeling of a “close-knit community” truly reflect the nurturing, student-centred environment we strive to provide. The emphasis you placed on “small class sizes”, “individualised learning” and “holistic education” further aligns with our commitment to providing a personalised and comprehensive educational journey for each student.

Furthermore, the discussion around the type of content you would like to see more of on our social media platforms provided us with invaluable insights. There was a clear call for us to differentiate our unique offering from local schools and highlight the distinctive qualities that set ISSH apart. Many expressed a keen interest in gaining a deeper understanding of our science programme at different grade levels, underlining our commitment to delivering a robust and forward-thinking STEM curriculum.

The aspect of ISSH being a day school offering a comprehensive educational experience under one roof resonated strongly with them. This, combined with our focus on inquiry-based learning that favours the development of skills over traditional rote learning, is what sets us apart and is something we will continue to emphasise.

In addition, the importance of portraying the sense of community and family atmosphere that pervades ISSH was emphasised. We assure you that our future communications will strive to capture and convey this warmth and inclusivity, reflecting the vibrant essence of our school community.

Your feedback and suggestions are vital to us as we constantly look for ways to improve the representation of our school and the educational experience we offer. We are immensely grateful for your contributions, insights and unwavering support. Together, we look forward to building on this positive engagement, further enriching our school’s offerings and strengthening the bonds within our school community.
