During October, Spring and Summer break we provide a Holiday programme at ISSH for children aged 5-14 years old. Each programme is packed with a range of activities and visits for the participants, including dance lessons, farm visits as well as cooking and craft sessions. Michelle is one of our Holiday Programme leaders who is here to tell us more about her role.

How long have you been working at ISSH?

14 years ago I started, left to try a new avenue, but came back after 2 years.

What is the Holiday Programme?

The holiday programme is a mix of arts and crafts, sport games, nature and building friendships through adventurous team work activities all while learning English.

What, do you feel, are the benefits of sending your child to the Holiday Programme?

Besides building confidence in their language skills, the holiday programme is a time to be creative. A time to learn how to work with others. A moment of discovering different cultures. It’s a place where children can be free and adventurous.

What is the best part of your job?

Smiles and laughter all day long. I also enjoy all the activities throughout the day.
