Primary Show Cinderella & Rockerfella

The stage is set and the children are busy practising their lines and dances, in preparation for our annual show. This year is the first time in a few years that we have been able to perform live on stage! It seems so long ago since we last performed and the students are looking forward to showing you what they have learned. The Theatre club students have attended a club each week since October. First, they auditioned and were given a role. For the next few weeks, the students became script writers and producers. Each part of the script was read, edited and developed to form a script that worked for our community and for all of the students involved. Then they began to learn their lines and create props, before finally developing their acting skills onstage. There will be two performances on Tuesday 24th May, the first will take place in the afternoon with ISCC and the ELC joining the Main cast for a part onstage. The Grade 3 and 4 students will be the chorus and Grade 5 have the opportunity to see behind the curtain as backstage crew. In the evening, the Grade 1,2,3 and 4 students will join as the chorus and each perform their dance that they have created. The students have not only developed their singing and acting skills, but have also developed their abilities to reflect and develop their own learning and ideas.
