ISSH Clubs
Enriching education through extracurricular engagement
Our clubs for Primary and Secondary students offer hands-on, inquiry-driven experiences, from global affairs and STEM projects to sports, arts, languages, and well-being. Led by dedicated teachers and shaped by student interests, each club sparks curiosity, builds essential skills, and fosters community. Join ISSH Clubs to explore passions, develop confidence, and make a positive impact, both at school and beyond.

For those who love to stay active, our sports clubs offer the chance to develop teamwork, coordination and fitness through dynamic, enjoyable activities. All sports lovers are welcome, whether they're looking for fun or a little friendly competition.
From arts and crafts to hands-on projects, creativity is celebrated in all its forms. Students can explore different materials, styles and techniques while expressing themselves and developing their fine motor skills in a joyful setting.
Book lovers can join clubs that bring stories to life. Whether they are reading independently, listening to read-alouds or discussing their favourite characters, students can grow their love of books while developing their language and comprehension skills.
These clubs encourage students to learn through play, develop their problem-solving abilities and experience the thrill of strategy-based games, ranging from puzzles and logic games to collaborative challenges.
Primary School clubs
Learning doesn’t stop when lessons end. Our After School Activities (ASAs) extends the school day, giving students the chance to explore interests, develop passions, and build friendships in a joyful, inclusive environment.
Led by enthusiastic teachers and shaped by student input, the clubs spark curiosity, nurture creativity, and celebrate individuality. Whether students want to move, make, read, imagine, or collaborate, there’s a club to match every interest, offering meaningful experiences that foster confidence, connection, and a lifelong love of learning.
Secondary School clubs
Learning extends far beyond academics. Our Secondary clubs offer students a chance to dive deeper into their interests, develop new skills, and form lasting friendships in a supportive, inspiring environment. From global diplomacy in MUN to creative expression in the Arts & Crafts Club, each club is designed to spark curiosity, nurture leadership, and foster a strong sense of community. Whether you’re looking to debate world issues, stay active in Sports, or discover new channels for creativity and well-being, there’s a club here to help you grow as a learner and a leader.
Model United Nations (MUN) gives students the opportunity to step into the shoes of diplomats, engaging in simulated UN conferences where they develop vital skills in public speaking, negotiation, critical thinking, and teamwork, all essential for tomorrow’s leaders. Each year, hundreds of thousands of students worldwide take part in MUN simulations, exploring global issues and the workings of international diplomacy. Many MUN alumni have gone on to distinguished careers in law, government, business, the arts, and beyond.
At ISSH, students not only participate in international MUN conferences, collaborating with peers from around the globe, but also lead and organise their own annual MUN Conference on campus. This experience fosters global awareness, leadership, and collaboration, while aligning closely with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The MUN programme at ISSH encourages students to think critically, act empathetically, and become active global citizens, preparing them to make a meaningful impact in an interconnected world.
The ISSH UNESCO Club provides students with a distinctive chance to examine global issues through the themes of peace, sustainability, education and cultural understanding. Inspired by the values of UNESCO, the club encourages meaningful dialogue, collaborative projects and local initiatives with global relevance.
Unlike the Model United Nations (MUN) programme, which simulates political debate and diplomacy, the ISSH UNESCO Club focuses on raising awareness, advocacy and service learning. Students collaborate on initiatives related to the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), such as climate action, gender equality, and improving access to education.
They might organise awareness campaigns, create exhibitions, initiate school-wide projects or collaborate with local and international organisations. The club also provides a platform for students to reflect on their role as changemakers and promotes intercultural dialogue and inclusive thinking.
Above all, the UNESCO Club is about purposeful action empowering students to engage with the world as compassionate and responsible contributors to a better future, not just as thinkers.
The Sports Club is a vibrant hub for students of all abilities who enjoy keeping active, whether for fun, fitness or the thrill of competition. Every week, students come together to try out a range of sports, from team games to individual challenges, in an atmosphere of energy and inclusivity.
Whether you're looking to hone your skills or simply enjoy playing with friends, this club brings sports enthusiasts of all levels together to share a passion for staying active, working as a team and having fun.
In this relaxed and friendly setting, students of all levels come together to practise and improve their spoken German. Focusing on real-world language use, the club involves playing games, discussing current events, sharing stories and learning cultural nuances in an informal atmosphere. It’s an ideal space for students who want to boost their confidence and fluency, connect with peers, and deepen their understanding of life in Switzerland.
The Wellbeing Club is a calming space where students can focus on mindfulness, balance and self-care. Through activities such as journaling, guided meditation, creative expression, gratitude practices and open discussion, students learn to manage stress, build resilience and promote positive mental health.
But wellbeing doesn't stop with the individual and our students also take action to support the wider community. This can be through creating awareness campaigns, designing inspirational messages or sharing reminders that promote kindness and respect. In this way, the Wellbeing Club encourages a culture of care and mindfulness throughout the school. This is a quiet but powerful reminder that supporting one another is just as important as looking after ourselves.
In the STEM Club, curiosity meets creativity! Students explore exciting, hands-on challenges that blend science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics. From building catapults and coding simple programs to creating sustainable design solutions, the club is all about innovation through collaboration. It’s a space to think critically, experiment boldly and imagine new possibilities: there are no grades, just great ideas.
At the Arts & Crafts club, imagination knows no bounds. Students enjoy a relaxed space to explore different materials, techniques, and forms of creative expression, from painting and collage to seasonal decorations and DIY projects. The focus is not on perfection, but on the joy of making something with your own hands. Whether they are beginners or passionate creators, the club sparks their creativity and encourages their artistic confidence.
